ECR, Conor Daly have mutually agreed to end their relationship, effective immediately
(INDIANAPOLIS) June 7, 2023 – Ed Carpenter Racing announced today that the team and Conor Daly have mutually agreed to end their relationship, effective immediately. 20 BITNILE.COM Chevrolet will continue as a full-time entry in the 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.
Team owner Ed Carpenter said, “This is the most difficult decision I’ve made as a team owner because I respect Conor and know what he means to INDYCAR and its fans. Our team has not performed at the level we are capable of this year, and despite making technical changes and investments in the off-season, 2023 has been extremely challenging. I have given great consideration to the current state of our team and I understand that it is my obligation to our employees, partners and supporters to do whatever is necessary to raise the competitiveness of our team. We sincerely wish Conor continued success and will be cheering him on wherever he goes next.”
“Although we have mutually decided it is in our best interest to go our separate ways, I would like to thank ECR for the past three and a half seasons,” Daly said. “I am grateful to everyone who has supported me – past, present and future. I look forward to the next opportunities that await me and I want to thank the fans who have been with me on this journey.”
Status of Chevrolet No. 21 BITNILE.COM is intact, as well as the oval-only program of No. 33 BITNILE.COM Chevrolet. Information about the driver of Chevrolet no. 20 BITNILE.COM for the upcoming Road America event will be released in due course.
